Terms and Services
Effective Date: October 9, 2026
1. About Beautiful Work
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of thebeautifulwork.com (“Website”), operated by Lacey Haegen, an individual sole proprietor operating under the name Beautiful Work (“Beautiful Work,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Questions about these Terms may be directed to laceyhaegen@gmail.com.
2. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms address use of the Website, its content, downloadable resources, and related website features.
Where we ask you to accept these Terms through a checkbox, button, or other clearly identified action, taking that action indicates your agreement to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not complete that action or use the feature requiring acceptance.
Paid consulting, coaching, individual sessions, ongoing engagements, group programs, and other client services are governed by a separate service agreement. Course purchases are governed by the purchase terms presented before checkout.
If these Terms conflict with a separate agreement you have accepted with Beautiful Work, the separate agreement controls for the services or purchase it covers.
3. Adult Audience
Beautiful Work’s services, courses, and registration features are intended for adults age 18 or older.
By purchasing, registering, or entering into an agreement through the Website or a connected purchase portal, you represent that you are at least 18 and have legal authority to enter into that agreement. If you act on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
4. Website Information and Professional Services
The Website provides information about Beautiful Work’s business thought partnership, consulting, coaching, educational offerings, and related resources.
General website content and educational materials are not individualized legal, tax, accounting, investment, medical, or mental health advice. They do not replace advice from an appropriately qualified professional who understands your circumstances.
Visiting the Website, downloading a resource, submitting an inquiry, or scheduling a discovery call does not, by itself, establish a paid client relationship or obligate either party to enter into an engagement.
5. Discovery Calls and Scheduling
Discovery calls provide an opportunity to discuss your interests and whether Beautiful Work’s services may be a suitable fit. Scheduling a discovery call does not guarantee acceptance as a client or a particular service recommendation.
Please provide accurate contact and scheduling information. If you need to cancel or reschedule, use the instructions in your booking confirmation or contact laceyhaegen@gmail.com.
Any fees, cancellation deadlines, rescheduling restrictions, or no-show consequences applicable to a booking must be disclosed and accepted before that booking is completed. These Terms do not independently impose a cancellation or no-show fee.
6. Purchases, Courses, and Payment Terms
Before purchasing a paid offering, review its description and applicable purchase or service terms.
For courses, those terms will identify the seller and address the price, payment schedule, access period, included materials, technical requirements, and applicable refund or cancellation policy.
A third-party platform may process payments or provide course access. Its applicable platform terms and privacy practices may also apply. Use of a third-party platform does not remove Beautiful Work’s obligations to you under applicable law or the purchase agreement.
These Website Terms do not establish an “all sales final” policy, authorize automatic renewal, or authorize charges beyond those you expressly accept.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, billing-dispute, or other consumer right that applicable law does not permit us to waive.
7. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
Website text, original graphics, videos, educational materials, downloads, and other content are owned by Beautiful Work or used with permission, except where otherwise identified.
Subject to these Terms and any resource-specific license, you may view the Website and use resources made available to you for your own learning and internal business purposes.
Unless separately authorized, you may not sell, redistribute, publicly post, sublicense, or commercially exploit our materials; remove ownership notices; or present our materials as your own.
Course materials may be subject to additional license terms disclosed before purchase.
These restrictions do not limit fair use, use of public-domain materials, or other rights provided by applicable law. Third-party trademarks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Website to:
Engage in unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, or harassing conduct.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or authority.
Submit material that infringes another person’s rights.
Introduce malicious software or interfere with website security or operation.
Attempt to access restricted systems, information, or accounts without authorization.
Use automated tools in a manner that circumvents access controls, collects personal information without authorization, or materially disrupts the Website.
Nothing in these Terms prohibits honest reviews, lawful criticism, reporting concerns to government agencies, or exercising rights protected by law.
9. Information You Submit
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for having permission to share it.
You retain ownership of your submitted materials. You permit Beautiful Work to use them as reasonably necessary to respond to your request or provide an agreed service, subject to applicable law, our Privacy Policy, and any separate confidentiality agreement.
Submitting an inquiry does not establish a professional privilege or a confidentiality agreement. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information, trade secrets, or another person’s confidential information through general inquiry forms or unsolicited email.
These Terms do not authorize Beautiful Work to publish your name, likeness, testimonial, or confidential business information for promotional purposes without separate permission.
10. Third-Party Websites and Tools
The Website may link to or use third-party websites, scheduling tools, payment processors, or course platforms.
We do not control third-party content, availability, security, or practices. A link does not, by itself, constitute an endorsement. Review the third party’s terms and privacy information before using its services.
This section does not exclude responsibility that applicable law places on Beautiful Work.
11. Results and Website Availability
Beautiful Work does not guarantee a particular financial, business, leadership, career, or personal outcome. Results depend on individual circumstances, decisions, implementation, and other factors.
Testimonials and examples describe particular experiences and do not promise that you will obtain the same outcome. This statement does not qualify or excuse inaccurate or misleading advertising.
To the extent permitted by law, general website content and free resources are provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the Website will always be free of errors. This provision does not reduce express commitments in an accepted purchase or service agreement or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitations of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Beautiful Work will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Website or its free general information.
This limitation does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, unlawful conduct, or any liability or remedy that applicable law prohibits us from excluding or limiting.
Liability relating to paid services or courses is addressed in the applicable purchase or service agreement, subject to law.
Nothing in these Terms waives nonwaivable consumer protections or limits your right to seek a remedy available under applicable law.
13. Access Restrictions and Changes
We may restrict access to website features when reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful activity, or a material violation of these Terms. Restrictions affecting paid offerings remain subject to the applicable purchase agreement and law.
We may update these Terms and identify the effective date above. Updates will not retroactively change an existing purchase or service agreement.
Where a material change requires renewed agreement, we will provide notice and request acceptance before applying that change. Merely posting revised Terms does not, by itself, establish your acceptance of materially different contractual obligations.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. This choice does not deprive you of protections that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
You may contact laceyhaegen@gmail.com to request an informal resolution of a concern. Doing so is voluntary and is not a prerequisite to exercising legal rights or meeting a filing deadline.
These Terms do not require arbitration, waive class actions, or restrict access to small claims court. A legal proceeding may be brought in a court with jurisdiction and proper venue under applicable law.
15. General Provisions
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent legally permissible. An unenforceable provision will not be interpreted to eliminate a nonwaivable right.
A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
These Terms address website use and do not replace separate purchase agreements, service agreements, or legally required privacy disclosures.
