Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Beautiful Work is operated by Lacey Haegen, an individual sole proprietor (“Beautiful Work,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through thebeautifulwork.com (“Website”), inquiries, email subscriptions, appointment scheduling, and related business communications.

For privacy questions or requests, contact laceyhaegen@gmail.com.

2. Information You Provide

Depending on how you interact with Beautiful Work, we collect information you submit, including:

  • Your name and email address.

  • Your phone number and business name.

  • Messages, questions, and other information submitted through forms or email.

  • Appointment details and responses to scheduling questions.

  • Email subscription information and requests for downloadable resources.

  • Information you choose to share during discovery calls or client meetings.

Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry or engagement. Avoid submitting Social Security numbers, payment card details, health records, or another person’s confidential information through general website forms or unsolicited email.

If you provide information about someone else, you are responsible for having authority to share it.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and communicate with you.

  • Schedule appointments and send related confirmations or updates.

  • Provide resources you request.

  • Manage email subscriptions and send the communications you sign up to receive.

  • Evaluate whether our services are a suitable fit.

  • Provide and administer agreed services.

  • Maintain relevant business records.

  • Protect our systems, prevent misuse, and address disputes.

  • Meet applicable legal obligations.

Submitting an inquiry or scheduling a call does not, by itself, constitute a subscription to promotional emails.

4. Service Providers and Disclosures

We use outside providers to support our operations. Depending on the interaction, information is processed through:

  • Hostinger: Website hosting and website forms.

  • Kit: Email subscriptions, email delivery, and related subscriber management.

  • Calendly and/or Google Calendar: Appointment scheduling and calendar management.

  • Google/Gmail: Email communications.

  • Zoom: Online meetings and, when enabled with appropriate notice and consent, AI-assisted meeting notes.

These providers receive information needed to perform the functions we use. Their processing is also subject to their applicable terms, privacy practices, and our arrangements with them. Certain providers process information for their own purposes as described in their privacy notices.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect legal rights, investigate misuse, or address security concerns.

If ownership of the business changes, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and any required notice or consent.

This policy does not authorize undisclosed uses of personal information for unrelated third-party marketing.

5. Cookies, Traffic Analytics, and Browser Privacy Signals

Our Website is built and hosted using Hostinger Website Builder. According to Hostinger’s documentation, its standard drag-and-drop builder websites do not use cookies by default. Adding integrations or embedded services can change that behavior.

Hostinger provides built-in traffic analytics through Cloudflare CDN. These statistics include total sessions, including automated bot traffic; unique visitor counts; visitor countries; device categories such as desktop and mobile; and traffic over time.

Hostinger states that its built-in analytics does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not share or connect the collected analytics data with data from other websites. These statements apply to Hostinger’s built-in analytics and do not describe the practices of separately connected or embedded services.

We have not intentionally installed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising tracking, chatbots, or session-recording tools on the Website. The Website does not currently provide a cookie preference banner.

External services used for email subscriptions or appointment scheduling have their own data practices. Kit’s privacy policy describes the use of cookies, pixels, and other tracking technologies across its services. Calendly’s privacy notice describes collection by advertising and analytics providers through cookies and similar technologies. These provider disclosures do not, by themselves, establish which technologies operate through a particular form or scheduling integration on our Website.

When you follow an external link, the destination service’s privacy practices apply. Embedded services may begin processing information while you are still on our Website, depending on their configuration.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Restricting cookies may affect external services you choose to use.

6. Email Communications

If you subscribe to Beautiful Work’s email list or request a resource that includes a disclosed email subscription, we use Kit to manage that subscription and deliver the relevant communications.

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting laceyhaegen@gmail.com.

Unsubscribing from promotional emails does not prevent necessary communications about an appointment, an active engagement, or a privacy request.

7. Online Meetings and AI-Assisted Notes

Beautiful Work may use Zoom AI Companion to generate meeting summaries, notes, or action items.

When enabled, the feature processes meeting information needed to create those outputs. Depending on the feature and configuration, processing may involve Zoom and its third-party AI providers.

Before using AI-assisted note-taking, transcription, or recording, we will explain the intended use and obtain consent as required by applicable law. Posting this policy does not, by itself, constitute consent to recording or transcription.

You may ask to hold a meeting without AI-assisted notes. We will discuss that preference before enabling the feature.

AI-generated notes may contain errors. We use them as an administrative aid and review them before relying on them for material client decisions. We do not publish meeting notes or use them as testimonials without separate permission.

8. Courses and Future Website Features

Course purchases will take place through a separate portal. Before that portal begins collecting information for Beautiful Work, we will provide applicable privacy information about purchase processing, course accounts, and related data practices.

If we add YouTube embeds or other features that materially change data collection or disclosure, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required by law before the new processing begins.

9. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including maintaining an active subscription or client relationship, fulfilling legal and recordkeeping obligations, and resolving disputes.

Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose. Information is also subject to the storage and deletion functions of the providers we use.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable. Limited information may remain in backups or records that must be retained by law.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You may contact laceyhaegen@gmail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.

We will review requests under applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, or an ongoing engagement.

Specific statutory rights depend on the law that applies to the business and your information. This policy does not represent that every right under the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to Beautiful Work, and it does not limit rights that applicable law provides.

11. Security

We will maintain reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle and restrict access to those who need it for authorized purposes.

No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary email or general inquiry forms.

This statement does not waive any legal obligation concerning information security or breach notification.

12. Children’s Information

Beautiful Work’s offerings are intended for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact laceyhaegen@gmail.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. External Services and International Processing

External websites and services have their own privacy practices. When you follow a link or use a connected service, review its privacy information.

Information processed by providers may be stored or accessed outside your state or country, depending on the provider and configuration.

14. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with its updated effective date.

For material changes, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law. An update does not authorize retroactive uses of information that require separate consent.
